Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 bag green tea
  • 1 half fresh pineapple
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1 cup coconut water or coconut milk*
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh turmeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon honey or agave syrup optional

Instructions
 

  • Brew 2 cups water and add the of green tea by steeping the tea bag in hot water for 3-4 minutes. Remove the tea bag and set aside to cool.
  • In a blender, combine the fresh pineapple chunks, banana, coconut water, turmeric, ginger and honey or agave syrup (if desired).
  • Blend until all the ingredients are well combined and the mixture is smooth.
  • Add a few ice cubes to the blender and pulse until the mocktail reaches your desired consistency.
  • Pour the brewed green tea into the blender and blend for a few seconds to incorporate it into the mocktail.
  • Pour the mocktail into a glass and garnish with a pineapple wedge and a few mint leaves.
  • Put the rest in a bottle and keep it in the fridge. Consume within a week.

Notes

*If you are using coconut milk, it is not advisable to put it in the fridge. Some tinned coconut milk may solidify or separate in the fridge. This is a natural occurrence due to the high fat content. However, if you have decided to put it in the fridge, simply shake the fridged mocktail well and add a little warm water.
